Border Patrol discovers 50 lbs of meth inside gas tank of vehicle on California highway checkpoint

The El Centro Sector Border Patrol captured a man working a vehicle with a 50-pound reserve of methamphetamine inside.

The episode happened on Highway 86 amid a standard checkpoint, when the watch group played out an auxiliary assessment inside the auto and their canine group congregated to side of the vehicle.

Specialists revealed 30 packs inside the gas tank of the 2012 Ford Fusion, which tried positive for methamphetamine.

The heaviness of the speed totaled up to “43.46 pounds with an expected road estimation of $173,840,” as per the Department of Homeland Security’s site.

The unidentified driver was purportedly 19 years old and a U.S. national.

The opiates were caught and sent over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for further examination.
