Brooklyn man sentenced to 15 years in prison for 9-year-old girl’s attempted kidnapping

A Brooklyn man was sentenced to 15 years in jail for endeavoring to seize a young lady from the front of her home.

Robert Drach was strolling to a companion’s home in Sheepshead Bay on June 11, 2015 when he detected a 9-year-old young lady playing in her front yard.

Drach, 39, entered the front entryway, uncovered himself and attempted to drag the tyke out as she shouted for help, prosecutors said.

“This litigant shamelessly attacked what ought to have been a place of refuge for the casualty, a kid, who was playing in her front yard. We’re appreciative that this respondent will be not able damage other kids at any point in the near future, and that the father’s snappy activities turned away a more noteworthy catastrophe here,” said Acting Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez.

The tyke’s dad headed out to spare his little girl — and held Drach until police arrived, prosecutors said.

A jury sentenced Drach last November with endeavored hijacking, open indecency, imperiling the welfare of a kid and criminal trespass charges.
